 fingering jump on oboe

In one of my high school all-region pieces from the 48 famous studies by ferling book, there is a passage that is a pure 16th note piece at 126. it is number 28 on page 14 for those of you who have the book. well anyways, one of the measures has a "G" (on the line) to the "Eb" (the high one above the staff) and it is in 16th notes. is there any easy way, or alternate fingering, or harmonic fingering that could be used to get the G to the Eb easier? Going from: "1 2 3" to "O 2 3 B - 2 3 C" as a 16th note. please help. thanks. :)

Wow that is quite a jump isn't it. The fingering I would recommend for the high Eb would be "O 2 3 G# - 2 - C" By "O" you do mean half hole right? This is the trill fingering from high D to the Eb and should be easier to get out from the low G. You can leave out the second finger right hand if the note's a little flat. It's basically the high D fingering plus the G# key. Good luck!
