Are these the best clarinets for beginners :Artley 17, Buffet b12, Armstrong 4001, Selmer 300? I don't want to be an advanced or intermediate clarinet. The music teacher told me the brands to look for but not the level for a beginner

All the listed models are beginner models. However skip the Artley and Armstrong. They are not as good an instrument as either the Buffet B12 or the Selmer 300. Other good beginner instruments are the student models made by Leblanc (called a Vito) and those made by Yamaha.

Any Brand of inturment will do the job for you. But I warn you do not get the Costco brand they suck. So really any clarinet that u fell comfortable and don't get the ones the Dee tolled u and I have Jupiter and i used in grade 7 and i still use in grade 9. And Jupiter is known to be the best Brand and not too cheap nor not too expensive.

Although I do like my Yamaha ... and the B&H ones ae pretty decent too ... I think Ashley may be a little biased! You need to get opinions fom amny players, and see if you can play a few different ones yourself. Incidentally coming here was a good idea - you have a huge range of readers to give their opinions

I agree with Yamaha, it's the best for a begginer. And they make really good ones too, But they cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. But for begginer, yamaha.
