Hey fellow band geeks,
I'm a really good clarinet player at our school, but i'm stuck in clarinet world and can't seem to find flute world. Can anyone give me some tips on how to get started, or just send me a flute fingering chart? I would appreciate it very much.

You can use the flute fingering chart right here at WFG (where you posted this question). Just follow the link at the top of the page.

I'm currently taking flute lessons. My instructor recommends the Suzuki flute school books; however, I prefer the Essential Elements (EE)books. Book 1 in both these series cost 6.95. EE is more comprehensive (especially if you're not taking lessons), it also has a CD that is included in the back of the book. The suzuki book doesn't include a CD. The CD that goes along with it is an additional 15.95.
