mouthpieces depend on what you need. the 5RV Lyre is for chamber and symphonic groups. this should be a good mouthpiece. but if possible try mouthpieces out. you may find that this mouthpiece doesn't suite your needs, you don't like the sound, etc. i'd recommend the B45, but thats from my own preference, this doesn't mean the 5RV lyre is worse in any way, it could be better. hope this helps.

I liked my 5RV until I dropped and chipped it. However, it depends on what suits you and your style of playing. The 5RV is easier to control but it has less flexibility thus making it somewhat less suitable for jazz although some do successfully use it for that. The B45 is more flexible but slightly less easy to control. That makes it a little more suitable for jazz but it works OK for symphonic music too. I'm using my B45 right now until I can get around to getting another 5RV. The 5RV needs a slightly harder reed than the B45.
However if possible you should try out the mouthpieces before purchase.

I played on a 5RV Lyre until recently, when I dropped and broke it. Both my teacher and I use it, and it's a great mouthpiece. Make sure you try both the traditional and Profile 88 angles; it makes a difference. I've had a number of teachers recommend the M15 also. The most important factor is how it feels to you.
