I want to buy one and i really would like a good one that wil last.

Putting such emphasis on colours is probably a mistake. It may lead you down the road of cheaply built, gimmickey horns.

that said, you might want to look into the following makes:

Jupiter
Antigua Winds
Keilwerth
Yamaha
Selmer
Yanagisawa

The external body of an instrument is of least importance, and cheesy as it may sound, it's what's on the inside that counts. The difference between intermediate models and professional models is sometimes in the amount of obsolete keys they put on, but in all my efforts in looking for an oboe, it was the quality of the bore that was the cutting decision. You absolutely MUST playtest your instruments before you buy them. IT doesn't matter whether you do it right at the store, or if you ship trial instruments up, as long as you can play to your maximum ability on your chosen instrument. If you feel limited in any way, it's not worth it. I just can emphasize that enough! It has to work for you, other you will have disappointed yourself, and wasted hard-earned money. Also, you should really try to include a professional *saxophonist* on your decision. They will be able to tell you the do's and don't of different instruments and help you make the best decision.

Try looking through the new Yamaha's. My teacher just lent a tenor to me for over the summer. I gonna learn and hopefully be ready for marching season in August.
