 Bb4 - D5 and Ab4 to C5 clarinet trills

Any ideas about Bb4 - D5 and Ab4 to C5 ? These horrors are to be found at the 4th bar of O in the 2nd clarinet part of The lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams.

If you are speaking of the throat Bb and Ab to the clarion (there's too many notation systems for me to be sure of exactly what you mean), simply keep the right hand down (i.e. covering the holes and levers) while you do the tremolo.

with the right hand, you can keep a couple fingers down on the left as well. the third and second finger would possibly be the only ones. good luck with those nasty tremolos.
