I have been playing clarinet for 2 yeras and I was wondering if that was enough expeiance for the E flat?

No, I'm sorry but you should probably wait until you have played for at least four years until you try an e flat. I am currently in my fifth year of playing the clarinet and I just started the e flat a few months ago. But the best thing to do is talk to your teacher:) Good luck with the clarinet and I hope you enjoy it!

go to www.clarinetfamily.info. In my opinion you can learn the e-flat just as easy as you can learn and adjust to any other instruments.But if you play in a concert band you are going to have to add flats and sharps on songs because just about every clarinet part of a song is written in b-flat. i learned that from a few people on this site and schmitt music store.

which Eb? alto or soprano? both Eb clarinets have the same difficulty, tuning. they like to be different. 2 years is a good year to broaden your horizens. but still practise your Bb clarinet as much as your Eb. some bands might not want an Eb clarinet, as for some music does not call for those instruments, which is why you should still play your Bb fluently. hope this helps.

Honestly i think it depends on your embouchure and your breath support. If you can play notes above above two-leger line C, be comfortable with it, and not be out of tune, then y ou'll be fine. THe problem with teh Eflat is tuning. Usually I have to over-blow to get things in tune. again use a lot of support, tight tight embouchure. Oh yeah and the fingerings for the the altissimo ranges are different. thats like notes from two-leger line C onwards so find a good fingering chart or just play aroudn with it. You shoudl also wait a few more years (sorry) but i just got the Eflat like two weeks ago and im like pretty good at it so waiting helps. or you coudl just learn on the Eflat and gradually get better whatever works. And one more thing... lol sorry if this is overwhelming... tuners are ur bestfriends from now on. good luck

I love the e-flat clarinet sound, and the way in clarinet chiors how it is so unique it is so bright so i found a e-flat online for $275 and it is from kindr-Klars should i get it?

No. the clarinet is very hard to master. it takes at least 4 or 5 years just have a good tone, and manage the fingerings too. i know this. i play clarinet(b and e flat) saxophone(alto tenor and soprano) trumpet guitar piano and flute. it's been playing for 10 years. so just trust me when i say your not expirenced enough.
