I hear that flutes have mostly eight notes in most songs. What do clarinets have in most songs?

That's not really an accurate assumption. If by "eighth notes" you mean "faster-moving rhythms," then that might be true. Clarinets and flutes, especially in beginner's music, usually have more eighth- and sixteenth-note patterns than brass instruments because of the facility of fingers and minimal embouchure change between intervals. Clarinets and flutes are often similar in their rhythms in band and orchestral music.
