 bagpipes

(I think they may be woodwinds??)

I was just wondering about bagpipes. Does anyone on this forum play them?? The main thing I was wondering was if they really are played only by males. I don't know that I have ever seen a female playing bagpipes, does it have to do with air capacity, lungs, or something? Any thoughts on this welcome. Thanks,

Corinne

Of course girls play the bagpipes! I've been playing the Great Highland Bagpipes for eight years and I'm only 16. My pipe band consists of about two thirds boys and the rest are girls.
