Yes, Dboe, that is absolutely correct. You will know when you're doing it correctly when you hear the cane begin to crunch and crack from the pressure exerted upon it by your jaw. I also find that I get the best results when I make sure not to vary the speed of my resultant vibrato, but instead strive to keep it nice and regular, much like a cow chewing the cud. I can't think of anything more musical!
(By the way, what's with the new name? Is that pronounced "dee-boh"?)

Dee-boh is correct. People started calling me dboy, and then that stemmed into dboe. Go figure.
