 Changing books on Broadway?
Author: rcnelson

Here's a question to revive this subforum today: if you play the instruments for another book in a show that you are already a regular on Broadway, do you have the opportunity to move to that book IF the regular on that book move on? For example, you are playing reed 2, clarinet and alto sax, reed 1 is piccolo, flute, clarinet and alto sax. the regular reed 1 guy or gal leaves. Can reed 2 be "promoted" if he/she plays flute and picc well enough?

Ron
Selmer Mark VI tenor (1957), Selmer Mark VII alto (1975)
Buescher True Tone soprano (1924), Selmer CL210 Bb Clarinet, Gemeinhardt 3SHB Flute, Pearl PFP105 Piccolo
