Has anyone had experience playing the reed 5 book for 42nd Street? I haven't gotten the book yet and would like to know what I'm in for.

Thanks.

42nd Street

1: Flute, clarinet, soprano saxophone, alto saxophone

2: Piccolo, flute, clarinet, alto saxophone

3: Clarinet, tenor saxophone

4: Clarinet, tenor saxophone

5: Clarinet, bass clarinet, baritone saxophone

I've played Reed 1. The 5th book didn't have any significant solos. Pretty straight ahead.

I played Reed 1 and not 5. But what you're "in for" is one of the most fun shows you'll ever play in your life.
