I just want to know how many of you pro doublers work full time and then play gigs, and how many play gigs full time?

That's pretty much what I'm going to do after college. I'm going for respiratory therapy because it won't take as much time (2 year Community College) and I really won't have any money! (Paying for college for myself). I'm still going for private lessons though!

Playing full-time isn't just a hard gig to get, as I'm finding out. It's also tough if you're married to someone with "normal" job hours.
I work during the day and play local community/HS shows. It's fun, it's not long-term, and I actually see my wife.

work full-time, which is normally 50hrs + per week. and then gig/practice with my band once a week.
so many things to do (4 kids all under 8), so little time
