I just got called to play clarinet for Suessical..Has anyone played the show? Is the clarinet part decent?? I play for this venue all of the time, and they usually pick good stuff. This is totally new though? What book combos are there, and how good are the clarinet parts?

Here are the parts
Reed I: Flute, Piccolo, Alto Sax, Clarinet and Soprano Sax. There is very little clarinet and soprano in this book and a lot of the other three
Reed II: Clarinet, Oboe, Bass Clarinet, Tenor Sax. This book has most of the clarinet parts and it sounded like a decent part
Reed III: Bari Sax, Clarinet, Flute, Bassoon. This book has some clarinet stuff but not tons of it.
I have only played the reed I book, and that is mostly flute and piccolo with some alto sax thrown in. Reed II is the main clarinet part, and from what I have heard its a decent part. Seussical is a fairly new show, but a decent one (with the cuts we added in at least)

Hey. Thanks a ton! I will fight tooth and nail for Reed II. :-) We don't get music until March.
