I have recently aquired a Selmer Aristocrat Tenor Saxophone and I need a good cheap (<$30) beginner mouthpiece. I am primarily a clarinet player but am going to be playing sax for jazz band at a music camp. What beginner mouthpiece would you guys recommend? How do the facings and tip opening compare to the facings and tip openings on a clarinet mouthpiece? Shoud I try to find a mouthpiece with a similar tip opening and facing to the ones on my clarinet (1.09 and 19 for my Vandoren 5rv and 1.19 and 21 for my B45)? Any other advice for a beginning sax player?

Maybe the best <$100 mouthpieces are the Rosseau R and NC series. I can't speak from experience but if I was looking for something like what you looking for, I would try one. Their reputation stands out. Do a Google search on them, and you will find a lot of info.

You might try the Hite Debut Mouthpieces also. I haven't tried them out on sax, but they should be pretty good also.

Trying to find a tenor sax mouthpiece that matched your clarinet mouthpiece tip opening would be disastrous.
The tip opening ranges typically used by tenor players range from about .068" to upwards of .120". The sweet spot for doubling/jazz/commercial playing is typically between .085" and .105".
The Hite Debut is a good all round piece, as is the Vandoren T35.
Personally, I use a Vandoren V16 T7 for most of my show and jazz tenor playing, but I keep a couple of smaller tip opening/larger chamber pieces around for concert band and classical playing.
