Hello All, Just asking for advice.
I am looking at a Powell Sonare PS-601 (BOF) and also a Powell Sonare PS-705 (BOF). But am having a hard time to which one would be a good choice for me.
Thank you,

Well, I tried the gold plated Sonare at the flute show in Las Vegas in 2012 and liked it a lot. In the end, I decided that the two first class flutes I own are probably sufficient for me and did not buy it.

I'm not sure about the 705, as I've never played one, but I recently purchased the 601 and I love it! It is a very responsive instrument, and the low register has a full bodied sound. My only complaint about it is that the head-joint tends to slide off of my lip after only a few minutes of playing. Depending on the price difference, if they feel the same, you may want to go for the cheaper option, but invest in an after-market head joint. Happy shopping and good luck.
