I picked up my flute today and at first was playing fine. I did a few scales, but started having trouble once I reached high F and above. I just started clarinet about a month ago and I think that could be affecting my embouchure. I was wondering what I should do to try to fix this. I know I should put my bottom lip out, but I'm still having trouble with it. Thanks for any advice you can give.

You could try angling the air to the side of the mouthpiece, or even the side of your mouth.
Lip slur exercises will help. Do them very relaxed and find the place that your instrument responds in that register.
Unfortunately the Clarinet will tighten up your flute embouchure, and cut off some of the tone. I have eased my doubling by getting a 64mm Bb Clarinet barrel, so my clarinet embouchure can be more loose. This will help saxophone and oboe as well should you choose to pursue them.
Good Luck,
Drew S.

Try aiming the air at your toes rather than sticking your lower lip out. This will also help in lowering the sharp third register that so many flutists display. Also try the relaxed frowning embouchure which will aid in playing the entire flute in tune. The Galway flute chat website has some good ideas on flute playing.
Both the flute and clarinet embouchures are developed over years of careful and relaxed practice but there should be no interaction between them. Switching between them can easily and quickly be done with no problem. It should all be natural with no biting needed with the clarinet. Good luck!
