Evening,
Today, July 27, my home was robbed. I have a good idea who did this and the police are investigating....but my prized bassoon was stolen. This was a 1967 H Richter Bassoon that I purchased in 1976. Actually, my grandfather bought it for me...so while it's not a Heckel, to me, it's more sentimental than any Heckel could be (or so I say right now...which is right after the fact). I've alerted local music stores....will alert pawn shops tomorrow....but could someone please consider posting on the IDRS??? The bassoon wasn't the only thing taken...but it is the most expensive/cherished/missed of them all. Again, it's an H Richter...keyed to High Eb...low c trill key and I had added a low c#/eb trill key (12 keys for right thumb).
Thank you!!

Actually I did!!! Got ALL ten instruments back that were stolen plus my road bike. World's dumbest criminal didn't go more than 5 miles to a Pawn Shop with 2 of the items. The rest were sold to someone on Craigslist within an hour drive....he was good enough to return the 9 instruments to my local police department. I should have updated this post....my apologies.
