Is there a band accompanied arrangement of Weber's Bassoon Concerto? Thanks for your help.

I don't know of one. I'm wary of any bassoon feature with band. It's just too easy to overwhelm the bassoon soloist.

There may be an arrangement of the Weber Concerto for Bsn/Band but I am unaware of it. However, there is a fine arrangement of the Andante and Hungarian Fantasy for Bsn/Band by Chris Weait that is published by Editions Viento. Viento also publishes the Frackenpohl Concerto for Bsn/Band, which is another fine piece.

My son played the first movement of the concerto for his senior band concert 2 years ago. The publisher was out of Wisconsin, but his name escapes me. I will research and get back to you on it.

Yep there it. My friend is playing it with the school band. I think it might be discontinued though? The edition she got was from our teacher.

Adam-
Check out Phoebus Publications:
www.phoebus.dhs.org/
They have economical band arrangements for the Weber Conterto and a couple others that might work for you. Go to the Double Reed Online Catalogs and look for "Bassoon and Band".
Good Luck!
