C5's can be unstable but not by that much that it sounds like a B! My C behaves like the other forked fingerings and I need to give it a little bit more oomph to get the pitch up. Looking at your pictures, I don't see much of a difference in 1 and 2 compared to mine.

Plenty of 2 + other assorted fingerings in Haynes' fingering chart. But definitely not a note you want awkward fingerings for.....
