Hey guys!
My second C (C5?) on my Baroque Oboe is terribly flat. It's a Moeck at 415. It's only slightly higher than the B below it. Would opening up the first hole help with that? Or is there another way? The oboe at the university doesn't give me this problem, but I haven't tried this reed on that oboe either. Thanks!

Is the reed or staple too long? See if you can sink the reed further into the socket before doing anything else.

Reed is all the way in. Staple length is 60mm (which might be a little long compared to 58mm), and the overall length is 70.5mm

I've been using that fingering to help it out some. It's better...but still not quite a C. It's a little bit further from the B.

I took a couple of pictures of the top joint to see if anyone noticed anything odd about it. Also...I found that the C is pretty in tune played open or with --3|---

C5's can be unstable but not by that much that it sounds like a B! My C behaves like the other forked fingerings and I need to give it a little bit more oomph to get the pitch up. Looking at your pictures, I don't see much of a difference in 1 and 2 compared to mine.
Plenty of 2 + other assorted fingerings in Haynes' fingering chart. But definitely not a note you want awkward fingerings for.....
