I'm definitely eyeing the altu for my next oboe. For my grenadilla 2001 Marigaux, I'm using (I'm no expert reedmaker) 3 types of staples (Sierra, Chiarugi #5 and Marigaux 48 mm). I've not much experience on the 3rd yet, but the first 2 seem to be fine. The 3rd I bought to see if it would bring my pitch a bit down.
