Hello,
I have a marigaux millenium and the top joint is very stiff meaning that however much cork grease i put on there is a gap between the joints. I think this is affecting the tuning because on all my reeds the lower register and middle c are flat even if my a is sharp. I'd really appreciate if there was a solution without going to an oboe shop, i have also tried sanding the cork down but it still leaves that gap. Thankyou

Are you sure that it is stiffness, and not that the tenon is too long for the socket? I would measure them both with a vernier calliper, before trying to force them together. Also check that the cork does not ride up and form a ridge against the wooden edge of the tenon.
Warm only the socket-side in your hands for at least a minute before you try and assemble - perhaps if the metal expands a fraction, the tenon will go in easily.
Also, try lanolin, it may help get the cork really silky smooth.
