 Age of a Selmer
Author: alanporter

I have picked up a student grade oboe (a 1492B, I believe) with the serial number B 68187. Looking on the Selmer website the year of manufacture seems to be 1921. However, I am sure the oboe is plastic, probably ABS, and that stuff wasn't even a pipedream in 1921. Can anyone suggest a more accurate age ? Many thanks.
Alan
