Oh my goodness! That's me! I'd never thought of that before :-(
I don't know if that helps or not....
The odd thing is, I have lots of other situations in my life where I have to stand up in front of other people, and I am totally fine about doing that. It's only the oboe playing where I get so completely nervous.

Hmm, actually, 'panic attacks' was probably the wrong phrase, it's probably not that, clinically.... Just total fear, to the point where I can barely force myself to keep playing.
