... sounds like you both had a very good and happy happening, wonderful new friends, thanks for sharing
... echo cautions, although i'd be more concerned with staying sane without enough sleep ...!
Hey, welcome to The Reedies, Susan, beginners luck is so intoxicating ...
glad you had such an excellent reed-making teacher to get you started, ah, first time, first love, first time success, sigh! Isn't it lovely? Glow, glow
Now *please read following with humor* -- have you got everything you need to continue this shot-gun marriage, including laundry basket for the off-springs? Recommended frequency making out with a oboe reed is once a day, frequent experience is cumulatively productive after a lengthy gestation period, although some old-hats can get by with just 2x or 3x a week, keep your knife sharp, and oh, remember to clean up shavings, cracked cane, threads and dripped wet spots (reed water, sweat, blood or tears) after yourself to keep up appearances for the neighbours, there's a good girl ;-)
... and in the foreseeable future, perish this unglowing and unwelcome thought, if ever you need to vent in frustration while Craig's away unavailable using up his awesome, fantastic playable reeds on a gig, while all of yours inexplicably refuse to respond and you needed one yesterday, remember you have other non-virgin girl-friends out here for you too -- oooh, baby, did he give ya any idea what ya gotta do and where ya gotta go from here?!
