I'm now at the point where I'm actually considering playing a solo in church (sometime in 2008 or 2009 probably ![[grin]](http://test.woodwind.org/clarinet/BBoard/smileys/smilie5.gif) ), and I'm having a terrible time finding arrangements of standard (Christian, if that wasn't clear) hymns for oboe and piano. The few things I've found seem to be written for "flute/oboe", and they're all in the wrong register for oboe, being way up high in the ledger-line stratosphere.
And I looked at solos for high voice, thinking I could just play the solo, but they don't usually go up higher than a G (and not very often, at that) which ignores the oboe's much nicer higher register. Anybody got any suggestions? Collections or arrangements that work well for you?
