Pity it's so short otherwise I'd do that for the Royal Navy Volunteer Bands Festival next year (and slaying the other soloists that I felt coudn't cut it at all - no matter how sharp they were - and not just the pipers!) - maybe I ought to do a band arrangement of the 2nd movement of the Strauss oboe concerto - and being in concert Bb maybe the brass could manage it - though it has got a lot of demisemiquavers in it!

Has anyone done a concert band arrangement of the Strauss (or is there a published version)?

Or even a brass band arrangement with a solo cornet playing the oboe part - perhaps I've gone too far with that (slaps wrists)!
