 Puchner XL cor anglais bocal
Author: MuddyBird

Hi, I have a Howarth cor anglais which is new to me.
It came with the standard Howarth crook/bocal.
I have seen a Puchner xl for sale, does anyone have any experience with them?
I believe they give a fuller sound?
Thanks 😊

There's only one way to tell if a bocal will work for you, your instrument, and your reeds, and that is to play on it personally.

If the seller will allow a trial, then you have the option of declining to purchase after the trial if it doesn't meet your needs.

I would never buy a bocal without first playing on it to evaluate tone, pitch, and scale.
