Hi Folks,
Yeah I need to expand my shaper tip collection. I have two that work well but I would like ot get a bigger fuller sound. I have the Mack+ and the Webber B. I got some cane shaped with the Gilbert 1 or was it 1 N In any case the Adam Shaper Tips seem to be all the rage. What re you folks using that you like and why?
Kind Regards,
George

I have
4 different Brannen X tips
Two different Mack Pfeiffer Tips
Joshua +2
Caleb -1
Weber 1-b
Weber 1-c
RDG 2
This past week I've scraped 35 reeds on the Weber 1-B, Weber 1-C, Joshua +2, and Caleb -1, and still, for me my best results come from the Weber 1-B and the Caleb -1. Weber 1-B gives me big project and maximum flexibility. Caleb -1 gives me stability, roundness (i.e. capability to blend), and sheer volume.
My next shaper tips will be the Hubbard Z and de Lancie, both from BBoard member Bob Hubbard of Westwind Shaper tips, for the same reasons I like the Weber 1-C and the Caleb. The Hubbard Z was a really nice balance of projection and blend, and the de Lancie had a nice roundness and fullness to it.

Thank you for your kind words, Cooper. George, We offer a 30 day trial at Westwind, so feel free to try anything in the catalog. If it's not what you hoped for you can try something ense or simply return the tip for a full refund.
