Hi fellow BBoard members. How many of you will be at the IDRS conference?

It might be nice to say hello to each other.

Sadly, I cannot attend this year.

Wish I could, though.

Meanwhile, best to you all and those attending this year.

The conferences are great. I've been to 4 over the years, and wish it were 24 over the years.

I'm not 100% certain yet, but I do believe I'll be there! Will be wonderful to meet some of you! :)

Unfortunately won't be able to make it. My duties as a high school assistant band director put me away at bandcamp that week. Will miss the interaction with all of my wonderful double reed friends around!

With regret for missing my friends, I will not be at IDRS in NYC. It is simply far too hot and humid in August in NYC for me.

However, I recommend that you perhaps check out the Puchner exhibit for oboes, English horns, and bassoons, the Bulgheroni exhibit for the "Opera model" oboe, the Marigaux exhibit for the "Altuglas," the Moennig exhibit for the Albrecht Mayer model, the Howarth exhibit for the for the latest (2014) re-design of the S5XL
(a truly amazing quantum leap in oboe design), the Wolf bassoon exhibit, the Rudolf Walter bassoon exhibit, and the Covey/Ramsey exhibit (especially the Honduran Rosewood model oboe), and also Rigoutat and Fossati (especially the ones made of exotic woods) exhibits for English horns.

With best wishes,
Peter

I will be there, as usual working the exhibits venue. If you see me running around please say hello. I have met many friends there through this forum:

Cj Wright
Heckelmaniac
Oboe Craig
Bryan Walker
Ann Krabill
JMarzluf
Huboboe
Robindeshautbois

to name a few. I have also made many many friends from the double reed world at the IDRS conferences.

I highly recommend attending if you can, there is nothing like it!
