 Buying a new oboe.

After several years of playing on a plastic oboe, I have been suggested to step up my game and purchase a wooden oboe. I also play in an orchestra and I have the choice between a rosewood oboe and a grenadilla oboe. Which one is more suitable in an orchestral setting?

Also I have my eyes set on this oboe:

and the owner claims that it is made out of rosewood. Is it really?

That looks like a Noblet student "ring" type oboe. Peter Hurd (oboes.us) says:

Rosewood is softer than plastic or grenadilla wood, so you may find it more difficult to project in a large hall or when playing in large groups. I use a rosewood oboe normally. I occasionally find I have to compensate by making a different type of reeds.

The instrument in your picture doesn't look like rosewood to me. Here's a picture of mine.

Are deciding between two particular instruments or are you asking what kind of wood would be preferable? And whats your price range if you don't mind me asking?

If you're studying privately, I'd also ask your teacher for recommendations.
