 Mouthpiece buying

Hi, I am playing the clarinet in a klezmer band and also a jazz band and am wanting to buy a metal mouthpiece... i've never bought a mouthpiece before and wondered if mouthpieces are generally same size (at the socket-y insert clarinet end) for a Bb clarinet...

If you mean: Are today's mouthpieces for metal clarinets the same dimensions as those for non-metal clarinets the answer is.......in my experience YES.

Selmer made brass mouthpieces for both saxophone (Marcel Mule played one) and clarinet. Makers of metal sax mouthpieces may have offered a few for clarinet, but I've never played one.

The tenon should be the standard size.
