I have the following fingerings for G:
2-1,2(my preference); 2,3-1,2; 2-1st Side Key;2-sliver bflat key top joint; 1 only; 2,3-1,2,3; 3,G# key. All of these with a pinky key to bring into tune as required. As I stated my preference is the 2-1,2 with the E flat pinky. I find this to be in tune for me. This works well for running a chromatic up or down to C.
