Hi,
Another CD Question!
Just been looking on a local UK CD Website. They have a big reduction on all EMI CD's at the moment.
This cd has meyer playing the Ebony Concerto, Prelude Fugue and Riffs and also the Copland Concerto. Is it a good buy? Are they good interpretations - I know sabine is usually superb from other recordings i have of her.
Thanks
Rob

Rob,
I think the recording to which you refer is possibly "Tribute to Benny Goodman" ?
Bamberg Symphony Orch/ Bamberg Symph Big Band.
This is really a double act between Wolfgang and Sabine Meyer.
EMI CDC5566522.
I came across it by chance in a London music shop. It's a cracker.
They work together so well. Great music. It must have been a wonderful CD to cut. Big Band stuff is just brilliant.
Buy it, BUT please tell me which UK CD Website you mean so that I can get a copy for a friend.
Cheers,
Bob

I have ordered it anyway - at £7.00 ($11) you can't really go wrong.
