Does anybody know an information (craftmanship, tone quality, playability, etc.) about Cundy Bettoney Eb soprano clarinet made in Boston? I could not find any thing about it either in the public library or on the Internet.
Thanks a bunch.

Fynanz-
If you can obtain it for a low price ($50 or so), then it might be worth having as a curiosity piece. I think the Eb is somewhat rare, so it may be worth more as a collector's item.
I have a Cundy Bettoney "Tri-Star" Bb clarinet that appears to be pitched higher than the standard A=440 Hz. Although you may be able to pull it out far enough to tune an individual note, other notes can't be played in tune.
This doesn't mean that the Eb would be high pitch, but it is one of the factors you have to consider about the old metal clarinets that may have been made before the A=440 standard was fully accepted. Most (but not all) of them were made to sell at a low price to the high school band trade, and would be considered low-end student models by today's standards.

See if you can find a model name on there anywhere. Cundy-Bettoney made a range of qualities. Also, what type of metal is it? Silver plated? Nickel plated? Something else?
