May I ask what stops you contributing? Whether that be asking questions, or giving answers.

I SHOULD read more and post less. An old boss used to say, "Ain't noman ever learned a thing while he was talkin'."

Or as Lydon Johnson used to say "If you're talkin', you ain't learnin'."
I suspect there are many, many people out there that enjoy lurking as much as participating.

I post every once in a while when I feel I have something to contribute. As a newcomer, I just mostly listen and learn.

It depends on the post. I could say I don't post nearly as much as I used to. But I still read all the threads.

Isn't this kind'o like asking, "All who are not present, please raise your hand"?

I read everything! Guess I am just quiet. I really enjoy reading what you are all up to and I like all the discussion and different opinions.

I also enjoy reading the conversations on the BB, but I am only 17 and feel that there is not much I can contribute.

I only post when I think I can annoy people - otherwise I just read the fascinating threads

read about everything and post when I feel I have something to conribute. I am a vocalist and pianist (Stetson U) and my kids play oboe and clarinet -- so I am learning what I didn't learn (not for lack of being taught but from my lack of thinking I would never need to know that stuff) so I can help my children even more --

Abraham Lincoln once said "Remain silent and be thought a fool, or speak out and remove all doubt".

I only post every once in a while. I guess I feel mostly that I don't know as much as those who post a lot or don't want to share all that I don't know. Then there are those same threads that keep coming back.
I read the things I'm interested in, skip those I'm not and speak up sometimes. This approach works for me.

hmmmmmmm.......like Clint Eastwood has said....."a man must know his limitations"........so basically I just read......and I might add, am grateful for all the accumulated cobwebs that have been cleared away and, all the insights and new knowledge gained.
regards

Jerry, you took my line! Anyone replying to this post no longer fits the criteria of the subject line! (Kinda like one of our local car dealerships which bought radio time to proclaim themselves as the "no slogan dealer.") (And I thought all my time in philosophy courses was wasted.)
Clint Eastwood also said "Make my day!" And this post has!

I love asking the contraversial questions that take people where they're either not comfortable or feel like they're in really deep - because jumping in the deep end, making as ass of myself, and at the end of the day having learned heaps, is my specialty!
