Greetings!
I have recently purchased an Albert system clarinet made by Edmond Chedeville France, which included a wooden mouthpiece also by E. Chedeville. I am wondering if this gentleman is related to Charles Chedeville?

I've also wondered this. I currently have an old Edmond Chedeville clarinet 'on the bench' awaiting restoration, and I have a couple of boxes of old Charles Chedeville bass clarinet reeds which I use from time to time. I wonder if they were an extended musical family, like the Moennigs in Germany/USA?

There's a possibility of relation because the family is a large and old one (they were known as musette and bassoon players according to the New Langwill Index), but there's no separate mention of Charles or E (Edmund) Chedeville other than a brief reference to the company of Chedeville-Lelandais.
