Howdy all,
I play a Leblanc Esprit clarinet and recently purchased a Vandoren M1513 mouthpiece, which I like very much indeed. I was just wondering if the Vandoren series 13 mouthpieces (made for the Buffet R13 clarinet) have a different bore diameter than their regular mouthpieces. How does Vandoren tune some mouthpieces to 440 hz and some to 442 hz? Also, how (if at all) does mouthpiece bore affect pitch or tone? In the end I wanted to know if I purchased the correct M15 for my Esprit (which has a larger bore that the R13 if I am not mistaken), or if I should also try the non-13 series M15 mouthpiece as well.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Wayne -
You play what works. If the M1513 is in tune (the most important thing) on your Esprit, and you like the response and tone, don't worry about the design.
Best regards.
