hi. i saw the thing that ken shaw wrote for the weber concertino...has anyone written a similar thing for the 1st concerto?
if not, do u guys have any tips?

1. Do a little reading about Weber and the time period this work was written in. (historically and as related to the clarinet)
(The latest issue of <i>The Clarinet</i> has a master class article on the 1st movement)
2. Listen to this, and other clarinet works by Weber.
3. Find 2 or 3 artists whose interpretation and style you find appealing. What qualities do they have that you admire?
Follow those 3 steps, and then make the piece your own.
