theres tons of sites that have articles about clarinet fingerings, how to hold the instrument, assembling the instrument, and most importantly...how to blow. just do a search on google or something and you'll end up with lots of responses. however, learning how to blow the clarinet is a very difficult and controversal task and it is doubtfull anyone will learn the proper way without being taught from a teacher or someone.

Joseph,
Get a good teacher even if it is only for a couple of months. Most important to learn proper technique, because once you learn bad habbits it is very hard to get rid off.
There are many aspects involved in playing a clarinet, breathing, fingering, emboshure, set up etc.
Also visit this site regularly, there is tonnes of information, and good luck.

I can't really say anything that Simon and bigleagues00 haven't said already because they're both right. You MUST get a teacher, if not just to learn the basics. After learning blowing technique, you can teach yourself fingerings very easily.
Good Luck and Have Fun
