 Buescher 400 clarinet.

Does anyone know anything about this model? Are they supposed to be a step above or a step below the Aristocrat? Are they always wood? I'm being offered one. They tell me it's wood but it looks like plastic to me. I haven't seen it in person, I've only seen the auction pictures.

I bought a Buescher Aristocrat second-hand for my daughter, then passed down to my son, and it is definitely wood. I don't know where the 400 falls in the line-up. You might like to know that we've had lots of mechanical problems with this horn--screws out of adjustment and so forth. I'm not sure if this is inherently a manufacturing defect or just the result of being used by a middle-schooler, but it has been a frustrating experience for me and my son.

It seems to me that it would be very hard to distinguish wood from plastic in a photo.
