ROwan is pretty well-known for its music department. Around here, at least. A good clarinet playing friend of mine was studying music performance there until he had some nerve troubles in his hands. He was very happy with the calibur of the school and its teachers, as far as I know.

Anyone who's familiar with Ronnie Rueben knows not only what a monumental talent he is but one of Philly's resident clarinet gods and super guy!

For anyone confused by this thread, Glassboro State College became first Rowan College, and more recently Rowan University after Henry Rowan made a large donation to the school ten years ago. They are indeed known for music as well as education, business, and have a fairly new but ambitious engineering school.

An engineering school, built almost entirely with a glass skin, that has no functioning windows! Great design, if you're an orchid.
