 HE-3-V clarinet

I'm considering ordering the HE-3-V ebonite clarinet from Hanson in the U.K. In the archives, there is one report that speaks highly of it. I'm just wondering, does anyone else play one or know of anyone who plays one? Their student package sounds almost too good to be true which makes me a little bit wary. If you've even heard of anything good or bad about this instrument, I would appreciate knowing about it.
Again, thank you in advance.

Have a look to the Ridenour hard rubber clarinet from Brook Mays.

It was designed by the same team that built the LeBlanc Concerto and (I believe) the Selmer Signature clarinets.

I would want to have a return option before buying something like this... what if it is a $300 clinker?

There's the shipping, the import duty and that unshakable craving for Wheatabix... but hey, it is your money.

Wheatabix I can handle ... it's the Marmite I have trouble with.

Oooh... are they still double-marketing that as a mastic for tile?

"Lessee... we have cleaned out the beer vat, sold the dregs as 'Bok' beer... how do we make money from the last?"

"I know, we could call it 'Magic Meals for Mighty Mites'!"

I believe this is common fare in Turkish prisons, too.

The Aussie version is even harder to strip off your palate.

I can most definitely recommend the Hanson HE3-V. I bought one some time ago and am very pleased with it. If terms and conditions of purchase are the same in the USA as they are in the UK you will be able to try it out for seven days before you part with any money...enough time to decide if you like it or not. Also, there is a five year guarantee and a buy-back scheme. Having had dealings with Alastair Hanson and his company I can assure you that his integrity is beyond doubt. I get the impression that for Hanson&Co customer satisfaction really does mean something.
