Not much on Getzen - contemporary company, little coverage in The New Langwill Index - the Index stops the backgrouds (other than deaths) around 1950:

Earlier worked for YORK (Grand Rapids), R. WURLITZER (Chicago); 1922 to HOLTON (Elkhorn); 1935 factory superintendent; 1939 working independently as repair-shop; 1946 established.

Thanks again, Mark, I didnt realize he was a "home-state" developer-repairman in my early days! Guess he didnt achieve the reputation of Hans Moennig however, I'll bet his Lang. resume is great also. Don

Of course Getzen is still in business in Elkhorn...DEG the company that makes the metal clarinet barrels. The present owner is Don Getzen, likely the son(?) of the orginal owner.
