Oh my gosh! A new Selmer Paris model I have never heard about. Does anyone know about these? Saw one on eBay. Such excitement! A "balance of brightness and roundness." Oh my!

Bill - According literature that I've seen, The Odyssee and Artys replace the Prologue II and 10SII respectively. The Odysse/Artys have a nominal bore dimension of .571" and are acoustical twins. The PrologueII/10SII were also acoustical twins and had a nominal bore dimension of .567". One of our posters from France, Stephane, owns an Odyssee. Hopefully he will see this posting and provide his impression of this new model.

Thanks Ralph for ringing my bell! I've owned an Odyssée for almost a year now, and I just love it. It has a nice round and mellow sound. A little darker than Buffet (I had an E11 before that). It has very good intonation and is very easy blowing. A few features:
- Adjustable thumbrest
- Leather pads
- metal rings on the male tenons of the upper body
The wood lets you see its grain and texture (not as black as Buffet). The Odyssée retails here in France for about the equivalent of USD 1700 (complete with Selmer m/p, lig and case). Add some 200 bucks for an Artys.
