Hi all,

I bought a new Leblanc LX 185 some 10 years ago. Is this a student model or something better? What would its equivalent be in today's models?
Many thanks for your information.

I think it would be equivalent to today's LX 2000S, which is a pro model horn. Download the Leblanc Bb catalog at http://www.gleblanc.com/pdf/catpages/pdf/leb-Bb.pdf (need Acrobat Reader).

Here's another thread that appears to be about the same model: http://www.woodwind.org/clarinet/BBoard/read.html?f=1&i=81098&t=81093

Hello Simon,

I purchased a brand-new Leblanc LX on eBay about six months ago. It was a gift to a charity, which auctioned it off to raise money. I have been told it is an 'artist' model, meaning it was designed for professional use, that is no longer made. I play in a community band, and this clarinet meets all my needs.
