I have seen clarinets on TV! My sister-in-law bought a KAKL SCHUBERT silver (plated) clarinet at a garage sale, it has 3715 stamped on it, she's wondering if it's 'any good', 'what is it'. thanks.

It is probably nickel plated rather than silver. It would be most uncommon to find a clarinet with silver plating at a garage sale although it's not impossible.

When did you see those clarinets on TV? I've been looking for a clarinet channel and have yet to find one. Please let me know....
About that metal clarinet....does your sis-in-law play or just travel the garage sale circuit?

Just wondering if you ever found out anything about the clarinet your sister-in-law bought at the garage sale? I have one that is marked KARL SCHUBERT on the bell - the KARL SCHUBERT is engraved amid swirls that have been engraved in the bell. It also has Bb engraved at the top near the mouthpiece.
