I just bought a new E11 Buffet Clarinet and the bottom three wholes are sticking,what should i do to fix it?

I really need some advice on this. I have an audtion coming up in 2 weeks and i need to get some practice in instead of leaving it at the shop for a week. Please help!!! the keys that are sticking are the Bflat,A and G keys. Its not any of the pads. thanks

Since you just bought it, Dawn, it should be under warranty. Take it back to the dealer, explain your situation and ask for a while-you-wait adjustment. Most techs can take care of that in a jiffy.

If you're really "up the creek"..... if you look either by the Bb key or the G key, where it hinges, you'll see a small screw head. Get a "small" screwdriver and try backing it out about a quarter turn or so. You can't do any harm. Just don't go more than about one turn. Chances are things just moved around somewhat after you started playing it and it tightened up. I always keep a small screwdriver in my case.

It is also possible that one of the ring keys is out of alignmnet with the tone hole it surrounds, and jamming. This could be from being bent, or from being poorly made. (It could be an unhooked spring.)
"Sticking" means different things to different people. So far it has been assumed that the spring does not lift the key up.
But if you mean that the pads do not fully close, then the problem could be a bent or maladjusted bridge linkage from this key to the D key.
