 E13 key/ring issues

I have what some would call a buffet E13. However I find that the rings and keys seem to require effort to push down. You would think that after a while this wouldn't bother me, but I would love to get the light, easy response that I've felt with other clarinets. I felt it when holding my instructors R13 Prestige, and even my old rene duval clarinet has keys that are easy to press. Can this be changed with my clarinet? Different springs or something? Or is it something I have to live with until another is purchased?

Forgot to add that it is a serial number K25XXX. It dates back, according to the B&H website to 1970 so it shouldn't be a problem with the keys and springs not being worn in.

A technician can adjust the spring tension to your liking. Whoever had it before perhaps preferred a heavier action or did not know it could be adjusted.

Many new clarinets are sold with too strong spring adjustment. They just don't have time to adjust them in the factory for optimal performance. Adjustments should be easy for any clarinet repairperson.
